Tuesday, the first day of my work week...
Last weekend was a blast! The excitement started to mount when Maila and I did the grocery at Landmark. We left an hour and a half late of our scheduled departure. Despite fog-stricken roads, heavy downpour, and unavoidable traffic, we reached our destination, Matuod Beach, Lian Batangas. Our welcome committee at the resort consisted of a large howling black dog (from the wrong house), a swarm of fluid-hungry insects, and! hours later, a power outage, amidst our rest period. Saturday morning, we had corned beef and omelette for breakfast. Swimming commenced thereafter. The real swimming spot was almost a mile away from shore! The beach was pretty good. A little pebbly at the shoreline, but fine after several footsteps. For lunch, we had adobo and veggies. The afternoon was for siesta! For merienda, we had tuna sandwich and squidballs. The best meal was to come in the evening... liempo and ensaladang mangga! In Drew Barrymore's words.... YUMMY!
The evening ended well, with a bonfire and a short drinking session.
Twas my first team outing, and I had a good time! Nica, Marchae's daughter was such a sweetheart... Allan had the same thoughts about Marchae's hubby. Hehe.
